hi i am looking for information on work houses in the bury st edmonds area around 1928 my nan was put in one when she was born as her mother died giving birth to her and her dad was in the RAF  her dad remarried and came back for her when she was 3 and went back to the RAF and left her with her new mother.
my nan doesn't remember much about tha actual work house but she says it was in the bury st edmonds area. has any one got any ideas.

it's been a while since i been on but i need some help please.
can anyone tell me how i would be able to find someone who was in the raf between 1900 - 1930 ish  i am researching my nans side of the family and i can't find her dad anywhere. he was born joseph walter goodgar and when he was 5 his dad died and he went to live with an aunt who changed his surname to haldenby he married an ellen hodgson who died giving birth to my nan in 1928 he then remarried soon after and had 2 more children richard haldenby (an actor in the 50's and 60's who commited suicide after coming out as gay)  and david. is anyone able to help me with any info please

also her father walter holdenby (possibly goodgar as the surname)  and real mother nellie hodgson who died giving birth to edna in 1928. walter remarried an emily holmes any leads on any names would be a great help thanx

i am looking for a arnold frederick john gregory born abt 1906 he was a seaman in the royal navy and he had 2 daughters sylvia jean gregory and ermintrude gregory (known as kitty) i am looking to try and find out who is parents are.
