The notice in the newspaper says:

At her mother's house, Glenworth St, by the Right Rev Dr Ryan, and immediately after at the Cathedral, by the Rev Henry Gubbins, William Leake, Esq., to Anna Maria, daughter of the late Michael Ryan, Esq., of Limerick.

Am I correct in thinking they were married by a Catholic priest at the bride's home and then had a Church of Ireland ceremony at the Cathedral?

Dorset / Re: SANSON family of Lyme Regis

Bit negative I'm afraid!  Checked the 1841 census for Lyme Regis as transcribed on the Dorset OPC site

http://www.dorset-opc.com/LymeRegisFiles/LymeRegis.htm

No sign of Sanson or Samson but of course they could have been in the surrounding district, there are a couple of Samsons shown in both 1861 and 1871 at Lyme.

Spiderboy.

Just a thought there is an Elizabeth SAMPSON a Laundress aged 25 with Henry aged 7.

Robert Sanson and family came to New Zealand from New Zealand on The Tyne in 1841 and so are not included in the 1841 census.

There's some information here about Villierstown in west Waterford where there was a Rev Bagge.

What year was the marriage of the Walter Croker Poole?  I think he could be the grandson of Anne Fudge and Walter Croker Poole.

Deceasedonline has Gordon Arthur and her husband and some children buried together in Peterhead.   It also has her parents, Andrew Arthur and Margaret
Lendrum,  some siblings, a cousin etc in another entry.

Does anyone have any information about Elizabeth Whigham Robertson born Caputh 1843, daughter of Donald and Margaret Robertson, brother Richard Beaumont 1837  left for New Zealand,  donald 1846, Alexander O. 1840, Peter 1852, Margaret 1835, Susan 1849 (probably married a Dow) . they lived at Craig of Stenton originally.

Philippa

This may just be a coincidence as you mention Caputh, Dow and Robertson all in one post.

I know of two children of a James Dow and Jean Robertson who lived at Newtyle Farm, Caputh that emigrated to New Zealand in the early 1860s.  Cecilia Dow was born in 1838 and married David Hay just before they left.  Cecilia's sister, Jean/Jane also came to New Zealand and then married James Payne.  I don't know which ship they arrived on or whether they travelled together.   Could they be connected to your family?

I've also found a marriage for a Richard Brown and Priscilla Mainston at the same church in 1833, but I'm not sure that the signature is the same.

This is where a Richard Browne was the witness in 1834

I'm not very techie at cutting and pasting.  These need access to FindMyPast to view.  Sorry.

IF Richard is Julia's brother then there may well be another brother called Edward, as Priscilla and Richard were witnesses to the marriage of Edward Brown and Ellen Maria Strange on 2 Nov 1835 at All Saints with Holy Trinity at Great Marlow.

Have you the daughters marriage
Julia Catherine Jane Percy Newsome to Robert Green 24/12/1865 at St Mary's Lambeth Surrey father Joseph a printer and deceased

Thank you.  Yes, I did know she had married Robert Green but I hadn't seen the record.

I wonder whether the person filling out the marriage register misheard printer and thought Joseph said vintner so wrote down wine merchant?

Trish :)

Yes, of course!  I'm not sure why I was confused.
