yes found the image now and very informative...so if you have a welsh postcode does this mean you can access all the library information?...because I am the only direct relative in my family living outside wales... not sure where they got ann williamd but will find out...as you say not always good to follow anothers tree...hence the reason why I now have so many certificates.

Thanls

also I need to post an apology to gbuttery as I seem to have hijacked your page

Sorry

If anybody can split up the page that would be good as it seems as if none of my Wynne's are from the same places as yours

Hello Osprey

Not used the nat library website before. Do I need to apply to read the will or can it be found elsewhere on the net?

Yes you have the right family group. david Wynne b 1756 was married to an Ann Williams before Elizabeth

david Wynne b 1785 married Joannah Hughes who is apparently the sister of nathan Hughes.

Have looked on ancestry in the past and found some details of Jeremiah's will. Margaret wife of Edward Jones is the daughter of David and Joannah.

think the family are Calvanist Methodists as there is some talk of Nathan Hughes involved with Howell Harris. Also David Wynne built the chapel at manmoel although the sign outside the chapel I believe to be slightly wrong. Pictures of the sign are posted on ancestry and many of my family are buried at this chapel including my mother Sarah Ann Wynn Morgan.

The marriage certificate for David Wynne and Elizabeth Rees shows Watkin Wynn as the father of david and Daniel Rees as father of Elizabeth....both are farmers.

I am presuming that Watkin lived in cardiganshire as David was born there.

Edward,,,husband of Margaret is also from Cardiganshire..eglwys fach

Edward and margaret's child Sarah Ann Jones married Thomas Morgan. He owned the bush in in Ebbw Vale but it appears he was also from Cardiganshire. Sarah Ann was born in Philadelphia but the family were only there a few years.

So many pieces to all put together.. I will now look at all the references you sent me.

Thank you very much.....Wish I had asked my family a lot more earlier

I am also looking at the Wynne family.

I know that my gggg grandfather born 1756 came from Cardiganshire and was named David Wynne as was his son.

It seems David Wynne senior married when he was 85 in 1841. he according to some ancestry trees was married originally to an Ann Williams. His marriage in 1841 was to an Elizabeth Rees aged 25 according to census. The marriage certificate of 1841 states David's father as a farmer named Watkin Wynn and Elizabeth's father as Daniel Rees, a farmer.

This is where I am stuck.

David Wynne jnr was born in Bedwellty Monmouthsire.
Any help would be appreciated

Devon / Alice COATES
« on: Friday 06 April 12 12:53 BST (UK)  »
Alice was born in Devon and married Richard Chugg in 1774. Some have stated on their trees that Alice died in Oman in 1815. Does anyone have evidence about this event. Would love to read more about it but unsure where to start.

Thanks

Thanks for looking. Checked 1911 census but unfortunately not my Henry. My Henry died in June 1926, and other than his marriage to Beatrice Callow in 1922 appears to be a mystery. One marriage certificate applied for

Thanks

Can anyone help me find Henry Edmunds. He married a Beatrice Callow in 1922 in Cardiff and died in 1926. Beatrice went on to remarry. I can find info re his death but would like to know the name of his parents and where he came from. I know I will get some of this info off the marriage certificate but thought I would try the forum first.

Thanks for any help you can give me.
