The first born son "Terry" is I think "Jesse  Gleadhill" birth Dec Qtr 1860 in Manchester.

The GRO database has maiden name of mother "Davies".
There is a marriage for a Robert Gledhill to Ann [Hannah] Davies
27 August 1860 at St George Hulme.
Robert is 20 and a packing case maker, residence 20 Maple St, father George a Farrier
Ann Davies is 19 a braid tenter, residence 1 Beulah St, her father is William a Glass Blower.
Henry Cooper and Mary Cooper witnessed the marriage.
Robert's surname transcribed as Gleadell

The only Abigail Smith that I can find with father Robert is in 1690, much earlier than the date you are  looking for. ::)

Abbigail Smith bapt 26 Dec 1690 at St James Audlem.
Father Robart.
Residence Hankelow a township in the parish of Audlem.

Do you have the marriage details for the marriage of James and Sarah?
It shows her father as John Boden a Waterman and one of the witnesses is Elizabeth Palin.
There is this possible baptism for Sarah born 2 Dec 1835 and baptised 20 May 1838.
Father John Boden a Flatman and mother Mary Forster, they lived at Fleming Street, Witton, Northwich
Her sister Ann was baptised the same day and was born 17 May 1838.
They were non-conformists and the baptisms took place at Northwich Tabernacle.

I can't find the 1939 or 1949 death in the name of Egan

According to a previous post this family had moved to Eccles Lancashire. You will find her in Eccles with husband John in the 1939 census. The 1949 death must be the Barton one in the Sept Qtr of that year.
