Hi Rosie,
Thank you, I'm a bit lost not having done any research in another country.  Does the £15 let me look at the certificates or must they be purchased? I've wasted lots of money on Scotlandspeople & was hoping it would be better over there.  I'm only in Glasgow for 10 days and I want to make the most of it, then to Fort William for Xmas with family.
Thanks heaps, Dee  ;)

Renfrewshire / Carnegie Orphanage

Hi,
is anyone able to tell me if records exist of the children that were in the Carnegie Orphanage around 1900. I've seen the 1901 Census & it lists McDonald children that may be the one's I'm looking for. I'm heading to Glasgow in December & am trying to get all my research queries together, I don't want to waste my time looking if there is nothing to find.
Thanks much, Dee (Aust)  ???

Hi,
Thank you all for this information, its very helpful to me.  I also had McDonald's living at 69 Clyde Street in 1911, I was getting frustrated because I couldn't find it.  In 1881 they were living at 99 Stobcross Street, then 238 Stobcross Street in 1905.
The maps are very helpful.
