Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / handwriting to be deciphered please

Hi, I am wanting to check what this handwriting says.  It is the occupation from a census document and it looks to me like "craps dealer".  Does that sound right?

Thank you
Wendy

It has been very frustrating trying to find him!   Where do you find the workhouse records?
and what does Isayvifs on ancestry mean?

Thanks for your help

Now with confirmation of Susannah's burial, what I am really wanting to find is Samuel Havis' birth and death records!

I have made contact with several other descendants that are also searching for this information - I am happy to do the research, but just don't know where to look!

Yes Trish he did remarry - and on some records it says he was a widower and and one he is a Bachelor!
We hadn't been able to get confirmation of Susannah's death - well or of Samuel!

How could I get a copy of Susannah's death certificate or confirmation ?  Or where were you able to find this information ?

Thanks

Hi, I'm wondering if someone can help me find some birth and death records for:-

Samuel Havis born about 1790 and we don't have any idea as to when he died

he married Susannah Hunter - also looking for her records - born about 1797 and supposedly died about 1826

We think they had four children, Susannah Havis (1816-1904), Richard Voisey Havis (1816 - ?), John Voisey Havis (1819 - 1899) and Ann Susannah Voisey Havis (1821 - 1904).

They lived in Surrey area.

Thank you

The marriage certificate shows Samuel Voisey and Susannah Hunter.

Baptism record shows parents as Samuel and Susannah Havis.

No I haven't been able to trace back further for Samuel Voisey - but just realise I haven't tried search for Samuel Havis!

The son, John Voisey Havis (as per baptism record) marries as John Voisey Havis, but then all his children are baptised with only the Voisey surname.
