Family History Beginners Board / Can anyone find Winifred Harriet Dean?
« on: Sunday 04 June 23 16:42 BST (UK)  »
She was born in 1899 in Plymouth, a daughter of William George and Harriet Amelia Dean. She had three brothers - William b 1895, Stanley b 1898 and Alan b 1901 - and a sister Rita b 1910. They have all been traced but I cannot find Winifred after the 1911 census when they were all still in Plymouth, other than the family are in a record in 1914 arriving at Ellis Island, New York, but they returned to England.

Edited - I forgot to mention that William b 1895 did not go to America / Bermuda; neither did Alan who died in 1902. Stanley died in 1916.

Yes this link does seem to work and people in other groups have reported being able to update from a lower subscription to a higher one, with a refund where applicable.

That was my experience.

Thank you. Yes, that's the one. I disabled other things but I hadn't noticed the Additional Settings right at the end. I have unticked the three things in that.

Look under Settings, System, Notifications. You can turn all sorts off there.

I have done that, thank you, but "Elevate your productivity with Microsoft 365" keeps appearing on the screen at the beginning.

Another thing - every few days, or so it seems, something appears on the screen at the beginning inviting me to finish setting up the computer, with such things as Microsoft 365 (I think it's called) and linking my 'phone and some other things. I am not interested in any of that, so is there any way of preventing this invitation?
