Using free search facility James Bentley Wellington Evans b.1883 is living in Wandsworth, London in 1939. In the same household is Edith Mary Bergin so if James & Jessie didn't divorce she wasn't free to marry anyone else.

Thank you Rosie - I didn't want her to think I hadn't bothered to reply after her taking the time to do the lookup for me. I'll just wait to hear as it's a very busy time of year.
Best wishes, Fairlane

Dawn has kindly done a 1939 lookup at Kew for Elizabeth Maddison for me and I have tried three times to send a pm with my email address. Each time it says I am successful but as I haven't heard back I believe there is a problem. Has anyone else had the same problem?
Thank you, Fairlane

Flintshire / Re: Thomas Emrys JONES d.o.b. 27/11/1868 Flintshire or Hanley Staffs?

Staffordshire BMD have a birth for John Jones mmn Williams in 1867 at Hanley HAN/034/014 and for a Thomas Jones mmn Williams in 1869 in Hanley HAN/034/083. As you have Thomas Emrys's dob it may be worth asking if this Thomas has the same dob - worth a try.

Thank you for your kind offer.
Could you look up Elizabeth Maddison born 1871 living in Droylsden. With her is Doris Ashton b.1913 and one other. Doris is reputed to be the daughter of Elizabeth's husband (illegitimate) so I would be very interested to know details shown on the register - who is the one other?
Thanks, Fairlane

Anglesey archives looked up some information and sent it to me a couple of years ago. They were most helpful - well worth an email to enquire -  archives@anglesey.gov.uk

What would those pills be used for? Would seem fairly lethal for anyone.
