Hi, somewhere in my house( attic ? ) is a suitcase full of photographs taken by my uncle during this period. I think most were taken in the Saskatchewan area where he was based but there may be some from Manitoba. Next time one of my daughters  visits I'll get her to have a rummage to see whats there.

Who registered her death? Andrews profession on '41 census, children's names. These might help us find him.

Looks like the family on the '41 census living in Stranraer, and a possible for Janet/Jessie widowed in '51 still in Stranraer.

Scotland / Re: Samuel Cassells b 1878 Co. Armagh

Hi David, Scotland's People have the family on the 1911 census, living in Hamilton. I can also see what appear to be the children's births ,Elizabeth Laird Cassels 1905 Holytown, Samuel Cassels 1907 Hamilton, Catherine  Cassels 1910 Hamilton. I only looked at the index which is free to view,if you want further details such as the mother MS you would need to view one of the children's BC, this would also give date and place of the parents marriage as further confirmation.

Scotland's People - free to join and view index, you have to buy credits to view/ download certificates but prices are very reasonable.

Hope this helps  Val

Both my married daughters use their maiden surnames. The only thing that I can think of that links them to their husbands names is their marriage certificates.

England / Re: Probably hopeless. Harrison from Worcs., and a Scottish connection.

Hi Bev, You might want to have a look at this, it could be a possibility.

SP index. John Harrison/ Elizabeth Robertson married 1797 Perth. The index shows that they had several children born 1801-1810 including JOHN in 1803.
Remember John senior was 65 in '41 census he may not always have been an Ag.Lab. Perhaps he was in the army and posted to Scotland.
