Cheshire Lookup Requests / Wistaston Monumental Inscription look up please
« on: Saturday 28 April 12 12:59 BST (UK)  »
If anyone has access to the monumental inscriptions for St Mary Wistaston could they look up any inscriptions for Robinson and Perrin please? (Specifically John Robinson buried 1825 and Randle Perrin buried 1826). I found their burials there in the Cheshire records on FindmyPast and am interested if they had any inscriptions.

Thank you!

On the 3 Sept 1747 John Towse (or Touse) married Sarah Burgiss in Heckfield, Hampshire.  According to IGI and transcriptions at FindmyPast they had nine children: John (1748), Katherine (1750), Joseph (1752), Mary (1755), William (1757-1757), James (1758-1839), Elizabeth (1761), Sarah (1764-1850) and Fanny (1767-1787).

Sarah married Tryal Englefield and became my xtimes grandmother.  She seems to have named her daughters after her sisters.

But I'm wondering what happened to her siblings.  Does anyone know how I can find out?

Thanks! Laverdiere

Rochester and Canterbury are two separate repositories so I'm guessing the custodians agreed to different limitations in making their collections available through familysearch.  But at least you can see them at an FHC--that's better than ordering in microfilms.

I just lost my previous post.  So sad.  But to repeat...

Apparently you need to be at a LDS Family History Center to access those records or belong to an supporting organization--I assume the LDS Church...If I were you I would email them and ask what the 'supporting organization' is and why this is in place when you can see the other records in the Kent Wills collection.  Their contact info is under the Help page.

On a brighter note I just read that the East Kent Parish records held by the Canterbury Archives are coming to Find My Past this month--exciting!  I wasn't looking forward to order a gazillion microfilm for my Kent folk.

Also if you visit a LDS Family History Center you should have access to some collections FREE at the center--namely Ancestry, The Genealogist, British Newspapers and FindmyPast!

When I sign in it takes me to the image :) Perhaps too many people are on it?
