Answering what I can of your queries Sue
So there were brothers to Ferdinand whose parents were HAEUSLER and KNAPP.
I believe so - I have listed them all above and below.
You have a record of his marriage and presumably confirmation that his Father matches the assumed brothers, but there is not an arrival record for Ferdinand
The marriage to Mary Gleeson does not list a father for either party - as is usual for early SA marriages.
On the marriage to Mary GLEESON his father's name is shown? Correct? See above.
He may have used the name Frederick?
I believe this is a typo. All other records of the same event list his name as Ferdinand.
He may have remarried after his wife died?
He remarried Teresa Donovan a widow maiden name O'Flavan in 1888 at the Registry Office in Adelaide. His fathers name is recorded as Christian.
He did not go to Victoria as did some of the brothers, but died in SA.
Correct.
He died in 1901 at Morgan, SA and is buried there.

1st son: Johann Gottlob (1810-1894) married Anna Elizabeth Lindner in Prussia
She died 1878 Tungkillo, he died 1894 Light Pass
They had 6 children
1. Johann Wilhelm 1833-1922 he married twice, and had children in SA until 1882. By 1902 some of his children by the second marriage were marrying in Victoria and settling in the Wimmera region.
Johann Wilhelm died in Murtoa, as did his second wife.
2. Johann August 1837-1912 stayed in SA, died in Caltowie.
3. Johann Heinrich Ferdinand 1841-1921 stayed in SA, died in Nairne
4. Johann Gottlieb 1845-1914 married in SA and had children here up until 1888. Sometime after this moved to Melton area of Victoria. He died in 1914 at Sunbury.
5. Johann Friedrich died in 1873 in South Australia.
6. Pauline Martha 1852-1919 married Johann Wilhelm Thiele, died South Australia.
2nd son: Johann Wilhelm 1812-1894. He had married a widow Johanne Elenore Klinge nee Schulze in Prussia. Sometime between 1851 and 1867 it appears the whole family including the Klinge children from Johanne's first married moved to Wodonga.
Elder daughter Johanne Wilhelmine 1816- 1869 married Friedrich G Lange in 1847 at Lobethal, shed died in South Australia at Nain.
3rd son: Ferdinand 1819-1901 married twice in South Australia and died at Morgan, SA.
He had 4 children(all with first wife Mary Gleeson), a son also named Ferdinand moved to the Swan Hill area of Victoria sometime after 1890.
4th son: Johannn Friedrich August married in South Australia. With his wife Anna Rosina Hartwich he had 6 children. The family moved to the Warracknabeal area sometime between 1858 and 1876. Anna died in 1886 at Nullan near Minyip and is buried in the Minyip cemetery. JFA died at Bangerang, near Warracknabeal is is buried with his wife.
Younger daughter Johanne Karoline (1826-1904) married Carl F W Heinze in SA and died there at Gnadenfrei.
