Sorry forgot to say they are not , to my knowledge, on the 1911 Census.

Elizabeth is and she is 22 and with her family. Interestingly she is called Lizzie; I thought family referred to her as Betty.

Am looking into researching a Robert Waller who was born in Killinkere Co Cavan Ireland abt 1849.
Father James and mother Jane nee Nelson.
I believe that he went over to Scotland and back to Cavan between 1881 and 1891 ( only because I have not had any luck finding him on the Scottish census. He appears in the 1901 Irish Census).
He married a Annie Thompson in Glasgow St Johns of Scotland church on 5th Oct 1887.
Two children Elizabeth Waller 21/12/1887 and Jane Waller 3/7/1885. Both born in Dunoon. It says that they were living in St James Street.
Annie also had another child before them registered as Joseph Thompson 5/5/1883 Maternity Hospital Glasgow.


Besides the census is there any other record / info I could look for? Thanks.

Yes that is her in the Irish census. Both of them.

Regarding her sisters that emigrated to Australia they were Jane ( Jeannie / Jennie) and Margaret.

My connection is their younger sister Mary ( Minnie) who stayed in Ireland.

She had kept the postcard , that was for her mum , from Betty in NZ and also had a postcard from another sister in Australia Jennie. It could be that Jennie married a George Jones ( not long after arriving there ) and the postcard is from the Blue Mountains.

Interesting theory about Betty going to Australia and then over to NZ.

I don't believe that Elizabeth had a middle name.
Cecilia isn't a name I recognise connected to the family. However who knows. I have yet to get a copy of her birth certificate so there might be a sponsor / godparent named on it with that name.

Elizabeth was actually born on 21st December 1887 in Dunoon Argyll Scotland.

This is a bit of a sticky subject with the family still living as they believe that she was born in Killinkere Cavan Ireland. It could be that Elizabeth herself might not have known.
Im still trying to work out if she kept in contact at all with the family in Ireland or them with her.
