It appears that Yeoman's were photographers from c. 1895 onwards.
The Yeoman's central studio was gutted by fire in 1912 in Bourke Street. (see below)

The State Library of Victoria has several examples of their photos. So your photo would date pre 1912.

The Advertiser (Adelaide), 2nd December 1912
A fire accompanied by sensational incidents broke out in Bourke-street, shortly after 10.30 yesterday morning. Two stories of a three-story building occupied by the Sutton Proprietary, the J.D. Williams Pictures, and Yeoman and Company's photographic studio were completely gutted.

The West Australian, 6th July 1914, p7
Mr. R. Yeoman, photographer, of Bourke street, Melbourne died in Elsternwick. His death removes from the city one of its oldest and most respected business men. He was an ardent sportsman, and many years ago was a prominent figure on the hunting field.

LATHAM. - On the 2nd September, at his residence, South Kyneton, Samuel John, beloved husband of the late Margaret Latham, and loving father of Catherine (Mrs. Muldowny), James, Charles, Margaret (Mrs. Ryan), and Sarah (Mrs. Birkin), aged 76 years.
