Hi   Thankyou for your reply, I just didnt think.  Do you know what kind of ship travelled at that time to Scotland would it have been a ferry?   I cant find them in Ireland living between their marriage 1n 1850 and their arrival in the 1861 census in Wishaw.  Never mind at least I know what period of time they came over and when they had their first child.... my two G G Grandfather!

Hi,  Iam looking for an Elinor Blair (nee Walker)  She is not at her daughters record of birth in 1825 in Kircubben Down.  Her husbands name is James Blair.  Jane (daughter) came to Scotland and is in 1841 Census in her own household then again in 1851  1861  8171  etc  she died in 1886 in Wishaw Lanarkshire.  Cant find any trace of her parents, did they come over from Ireland with her and died before the 1841 census or were they still in Ireland or maybe lived somewhere else in Lanarkshire.  I would appreciate any info.  Thankyou.

  Thankyou very much for your speedy reply, you are a star!   I am coming up to Motherwell in April, and thought I could visit these if possible, I will find out where it is not too familiar with Cambusnethan.   Poor Jane Blair, Iam so sad her grave can not be found, my heart goes out to her, she lived in the same address as Henry and Agnes when all this trauma was going on, nurse her other remaining nephews (George, my ancester and Archibald, who is in your list as dying at 33years old) until she was 60ish in 1886, in the family house in Caledonian Road, I owe her a lot and would not be here if she hadnt been so dedicated to the family!    So a paupers grave seems not right as Archibald and George would have surely looked after her??  Anyway, I also have Muirhead  Leggat   etc... spouses of the McPhail family to search so will continue  I am so grateful for the rootschat site you are all very dedicated and we are glad you are there.  June   PS Re: Henry and Agnes marriage in Ireland Parish of Banagher is the next line of search have proof of the date of marriage its just getting the transcript for more info about their parents so I have lots to do.

Hi,   I have a Henry McPhail  Died in Scotland 1878   Born somewhere in Ireland (cant for the life of me find out) He was  McFail when first in Scotland  McFall on the marrieage record in 1860 In Banagher.  Please can you tell me if McPhail would be the original or all three.  Which one would be on his Birth record which was 1826.  Thankyou for any help.
