Hello mark pleased to have made contact with you. how are you descended from John?
I would like to send you a P M personal message, but I think you have to post 3 messages, before I can do that, so if you reply to this one  then send another I will do that.

 Thank you  Forfarian,
The Scottish death certificate I  had the wife/ husband on it I thought one has a date ?

The 1881 census had 4 the children born in Glasgow, I only have a transcript so I cant check it, but others had children born Ireland.
Thank you for the link for Ireland I had searched for the Marriage & birth bap, with no luck also did a search for Harriet parents Daniel & Harriet no luck there .

Thank you all for your help. :)

Just looked at Scotland People," RITCHIE HARRIET F 1862 644/6 812 Blythswood" that could be her

Thank you Carol &  Isobelow
I only have a transcript of the 1891 there is nothing to say Harriet is married or widowed no street name & William is not with the family.
I found this " RITCHIE WILLIAM Tenant Occupier HOUSE NO 11 DOUGLAS STREET BARONY 1885 VR010200335" I don't know if this is him or his son?
11 Douglas St was the address that Margaret their daughter gave when she married Robert Smith Butcher journeyman, on the Marriage 4 June 1886, her father was dead, it only gave her mother name Harriet Ritchie M S Maritn
Yes big discrepancy in Harriet's birth year, but the death cert I have is her
1861 census, Blythswood, Glasgow Barony,Lanarkshire, Address:230 Holm St                          Only William was born in William  Ritchie 39 Bn 1822 Edinburgh, wife & 5 children born Ireland I have searched everywhere, cant find Marriage[ her father was Danial mother Harriet no M]s haven't  birth of children in Ireland
I checked out the 1884 death aged 62 he was an Ironmonger

Hello.
I am trying to help a friend of mine with her family history as a Christmas present,  I am looking for the death of                                                                                            William Ritchie 59 Bn 1822 Edinburgh, Flour Miller in 1881,  Blythswood Civil Parish: Glasgow Barony, Lanarkshire,
He died between 1881 & 1891, I found a death that fitted 1894 in Scotland's People,                     I used the last of my credits to find it wasn't him! the one I have was an Ironmonger, Has anyone suggestions, I particularly wanted his death as I was hoping that it would have the date his marriage on it, it wasn't on his widows death certificate ,her name was Harriet Martin, born Ireland  about 1824, her age on her death certificate is wrong it has 60,I have searched everywhere for the marriage.

Thank you

Thank you Maggiejay that is great, I tried to post yesterday but I couldn't, & I was signed in!! :(

Please can you tell me if I go onto Scotland's people & get some credits to view the marriage , is it a transcript or a image from the Parish register .
