Cumberland / MI's for Carlisle

My Greig family lived in the Botchergate/Caldergate area's of Carlisle from the 1850's onwards. Does anyone know which church/graveyard would have been used following their deaths and whether MI's for these have been published?

The earliest traces to date of my GREIG family can be found in Coltbridge, a small village on the outskirts of Edinburgh in the 1700's but now part of the City.

Coltbrigde stood roughly where the A8 crosses the River of Lieth.

I would like to know if there is anyone researching this family or any other surname associated by marriage.

If so please let me know your interests/association.

I have gathered much information and BMD's during the past few years but would to learn more and share information.

My Greig ancestors moved from Scotland to Carlisle in the mid 1850's before my particular branch headed for Sheffield in the early 1900's.

Is anyone researching the GREIG family of Carlisle and associated surnames by marriage.

If so, please let me know your interests and association.
