ooh, I haven't seen that one before.  I think I will need to learn not to be so specific with my searches.  As it is my only hope I will order that one and see.  Will let you know if all of your hard work paid off! Thank you so much for giving up your time!

I am looking for a christening for a Mary Ann Haven.  She was born in about 1856 in Ladywood.  Her parents were Joseph and Mary.  Joseph was a Hackney Cab driver, previously and ostler.

I have the family on census from 1861 onwards in the Ladywood area.

Other children for Joseph and Mary are Joseph, Robert, Charles, John and William.

I am as vague as ever but trying to tie up loose ends on ancestors I am having trouble with.

Regards

Thanks Shane.  I did just reply to your post but I don't know what happened to it??
Anyway, yes they were RC.  I see I am going to keep struggling with this one.  I hope I have the right area, like I say the census shows it as Barry Brother/Brothen so I am guessing this is the closest to that.

Will have a look at your links. Thanks  :D

Roscommon / Bally Broughan - Dockery/Haden
« on: Saturday 20 August 11 17:03 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for any record of Dockery and Haden family from County Roscommon.  I do not have a lot to go on so any hints/tips would be greatly appreciated!

John Dockery married Jane Haden.  I have them from the 1841 census onwards in Birmingham, England.  On the census it says they were from Barry Brothen/Brother Roscommon.  I think this could be Bally Broughan.  I know that Jane's father was Michael Haden, I have this from her 2nd marriage cert.  John & Jane's first child was born in about 1827 in Birmingham and John & Jane's ages make them born around 1800-1805.

I have all census info after 1841 and am desperate to know more about their roots.

I am at a complete loss as to where to go from here!

Regards, Ann-Marie
