i tink mayb he was in 2nd battalion, on his medal card it says rank=p6?? not sure what that means, not even his discarge papers have his battalion, been tryn 2 find out what battalion 4 a whilre now still now luck,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,dave

more info on my grandfather william duffy, on his discarge book the serial num is 189. also is says the following---- expoy.force.france 9/2/1915 to 12/5/1915. expoy.force.medina 25/11/1915 to 17/5/1916. discarge signed colonel comanding no.11. district. he did not do army reserve . his pension id num-13/md/2219. medal card rank =p6. not sure what tha p6 means??? dave...........

yes my uncle did say his father told him they were gased and nearly wiped out, my grandfather has no records of service 4 tha 2nd half of 1915 ,they then reapere 1916 SALONIKA ,were he had sum kind of sickness which led 2 him been discarged, i tink he was drafted in2 a diff regement b4 headn 4 salonika , also my grandfaTHERS brother was killed durn ww1 but ave no way of tracen him as no1 in my family can tink of his name,

ive lookd up everyting ive got on him,notn says what battalion,hard work, s.w.b roll just says he was discarged due 2 sickness 8/8/1916, its stamped island bridge january 1917 dublin, as far as my uncle knows he tinks his father was at the MARINE AND OR MONS 1915 ,MY GRANDFATHER signed up 4 the artilery but was drafted in infintry, thats what my uncle in led 2 beleve,

hi,while on nationalarchives.com i found my grandfathers name listed on the S.W.B roll, it says he was discarged due 2 sickness,but stil does not say what battalion he was wht,is there any1 i can email the S.W.B to that may help??
