Does anyone know if there is a transcript list, and perhaps gravestone photographs, of those buried in the church yard at Papil, Burra?
I have found the death record of my G G Grandfather William Aiken (Aitken) and it indicates his burial there in 1834.
I know it would be a longshot to get a photograph of the stone, that is is there is one.
There is also the possiblility of his wife's burial and one son's burial there. They were Helen Jameson (Jamieson) died after 1841 and Andrew Aiken (Aitken) died  1851-55.  Although they may not have stayed in the area.
Any help would be appreciated. 

So pleased  with the results of a previous post that I thought I might try a couple more.

The couple are my paternal grandparents on their wedding day in 1908.  The picture is from a round frame.  You can see the tab that held it in place.

The other is of my paternal grandmother.  You can see fire/smoke damage to the bottom of the picture.  They lost their home in a fire in 1919.

Thomas Aitkin(en) my G Grandfather who is missing from the photo due to his passing in 1889, was born in Ireland, Sandwick, Shetland Isles and married here in Canada.
The two oldest daughters had pre-deceased him in 1882.

Would welcome any information on William Aitken/Helen Jameson.  They are my GG Grandparents.
Only birth date I have for William in 1794. (from Bayanne)
They had family born in both Sandwick and West Burra areas.
He died and was buried in Papil, Burra to my knowledge.
Currently, I can not trace William's family before him.  Anyone have that information?
Your help would be much appreciated. 

It should be noted that microfilm records show the surname as AIKEN.
