hi  Dave

Apologies for not replying earlier, but I have been on holidays.  I don't know of any link, but if I think of something I will post again.

Hi  Amy

I think that your Alfred's father - William may have been a brother of Albert Milliner (my g.g.grandfather).  If you would like to know more information about this side of the family - I am happy to let you know.

Hi Amy

I am descended from an Issac Milliner born in 1802.  He had a son William, but this was in 1841, so I don't suppose its the same one?!  It is possible that there is some connection however.  Which part of Gloucestershire are you looking at?  Do you have any other names I could possibly link up?

The 1861 census information posted above is my family.  The Albert Milliner born 1844 is my great, great grandfather.

Looking forward to discovering if there is a connection

Glamorganshire / Re: Brynterian House, Glais - is it still standing?

Hi

Glad you like the photos.  The house has been extended to the side.  I am afraid that is not clear from the picture.  The extension matches the main part perfectly, but I suspect its a more recent add on.

Hope they bring back happy memories for your mum!

Nicola :)

PS
If you would like larger versions of the photos, let me know and I can email them to you.

Hi

Hopefully I have now attached two photos of the house.  Have had to resize them so don't know if it is quite right!  Here goes . .  .

Hi Flipster

Don't know if you are still after a photo of the house, but if you are I think I have some for you.  It is of Bryntirion house, School Road, Glais.  It is as the road name suggests - opposite the primary school.  If you would like me to email you the photos then PM me your e-mail address and I wil send them on.

Hope this helps,

Nicola
