Tyrone / Peter Hughes Mullanary Blackwatertown (married 1855)
« on: Monday 02 June 14 21:18 BST (UK)  »
Today I found the marriage record of Peter Hughes Mullinary Blackwatertown Armagh and Roseann Garvey (born 1832 in Ballytrodden, Blackwatertown) Their marriage was in Clonfeacle 22 Nov 1855.
I have been told this Peter is related to my Hughes family from Kilkreevey Otra Madden. I also found records of their 8 children born between 1856 & 1871 - Sara, Catherine, Roseanne, Margaret, Mary Jane, Ann, Brigid, & Peter.

I am keen to find any information about Peter Hughes. The only info i have is his marriage date.
Many thanks.

Armagh / Re: Loughgall cemeteries
« on: Wednesday 18 July 12 10:37 BST (UK)  »
Hello Ajjbc,
I checked out the local phone books for your surnames of interest.
CDNI (Community Directories Northern Ireland) Armagh & Upper Bann phonebook was published 1995 and contained the following:-
9 Stothers
66 Mulholland.

A recent phonebook by BT (British Telecom) The Phone Book Northern Ireland South West 2012/2013 contains the following:-
3 Stothers
106 Mulholland.

These surnames are roughly within a 10 mile radius of the Loughgall/Armagh area.

Armagh / Re: BOWMANs in Armagh

Hi Craig,
I walked around St Marks graveyard in search of your ancestors grave but to no avail. Sorry. (I found J Bowman in a vault but the date was much earlier...1847 I think) However it is a big place and i might have missed it. I will pm you with the church secretary's email address and you can contact her to check out church records for exactly what info you want. If she finds the grave she is going to contact me and i will take a photo for you. Good luck with your search. Noreen (Armagh)

United States of America / Re: Fee family Coragh Cloverhill
« on: Thursday 12 January 12 22:13 GMT (UK)  »
Hi again Sandra,
Michael Fee married Catherine Prior
Children Mary 1861, John 1865, Margaret 1866, Laurence 1867, Peter 1870, Catherine 1872, Patrick 30 July 1873, Hugh 1874, Michael 1877.

So Patrick born 1873
???married aged 15 in Philadelphia 1898 to Margaret Moran
1910 Age 37 on SS Zeeland going to Boston USA to friend Terence Moran (Passenger list states he was in US previously for 5 yrs so its possible he is going back to a relative of his wife Margaret Moran)

I checked out the Patrick on the link you gave me. All the same Christian names from todays family are present in that link. So i remain confused.

I contacted the elderly informant again and he thinks Patrick might have married Mc Loughlin but i couldnt find a match.

Maybe i am missing something staring me in the face or just willing for the jigsaw to work :) Have you any solutions?
Noreen

Hi sandra,
Many thanks for taking the time to help. Your info for Lawrence, William & Francis checks out to be the family im researching. However, I cant find Margaret linked anywhere to Robert Mc Gonigle. Help please!! :) Also the post above referring to Patricks parents as James and Hanna has me confused now. My brain is completely frazzled with all these Fees. Do you think i have followed the wrong line of Fees?

Hi folks,
I mistakenly put the above post on the Leitrim board. It is now posted on the US board.

Many thanks Shellyesq for all your help,

I have now found marriage for Patrick Fee to Margaret Moran in Philadelphia 1898. I found them in 1910, and in 1920 Census they had 7 children. John 1901, Edward 1903, Lawrence 1905, William 1907, Margaret, 1909, Catherine 1911 and Francis 1913. In 1930 Census John and Catherine have left the house. Catherine has become a Nun in Villa Maria Convent West Chester. I don't know where John went and cannot find anymore information at the moment. I suspect some of the boys will have went to war. Where should I search next to find out if any descendants of this family are still alive?
