Hi Again Chris

Just had a good look on Scotlands People and there is only one Elizabeth Graham died 1860 in Airdrie and thats my Elizabeth.

Could you tell me where abouts St Josephs Cemetery is in Airdrie.

My niece  bought a new build house there a few years ago just as you went into Airdrie and it was next to a grave yard.Unfortunately she has since moved.

Thank you

Marguerite

Hi Chris

Think the Elizabeth Grahams is her in Aitchicon street.Only thing is think who ever was writing the info that day head wasnt all together on the job as he has made loads of mistakes if it is my Elizabeth.Im almost sure its her despite the mistakes.

It has Elizabeth Grahams on her death certificate and that she was buried St Josephs, but she died 9 / 11/ 1860 and was  buried on 10 / 11 /1860.Plus it was 81 Aitchison street not 18.If you look you will see they have even mispelt Aitchison.
Looks like they have wrote the info back to front.

Many thanks

Marguerite

Hi Chris

Was wondering if you could do a look up for me.

My GGGgrandfather  Philip Graham and his family moved from Airdrie to Croy Smithstone Row in the late 1860s.Philips wife died in Airdrie the year before they moved she was buried in St Josephs. Her name was Elizabeth Mcmahon or Mahon married name Graham.

Thanks

Hi

Just seen your post about Lynne family Denny. My husband is from Denny.

I know there is an Alex Lynne still living in Denny in his early 50s.His son was in my daughters class at school.
Maybe this Alex is a grandson of the James in your photo. Also the local photographer  in Denny is named Loney.  Maybe a  relation of Mary catherine Loney.

Hi

My dads mother was a Margaret Armstrong .Her GGGrandfather  James Armstrong was born scottish borders and my dad told me we were related to Neil Armstrong .I was  also told this by someone who contacted me on Genes Reunited. Her GGgrandfather and mine were brothers and sons of James Armstrong. Her father had told her the same story.

Also related to John whitelaw the Monkland Martyr. My dads GGGGran Was Betty Whitelaw  Carnwarth and symington .Then Airdrie .Her brother John Whitelaw had a Shoemaker shop in Airdrie High street 1850s.

On my mums side .Her sister emmigrated to Canada  from Scotland1926 but sadly died in 1931 age 26.She gave birth to a baby girl, My Aunt  died 2 weeks later. Her husband was James B Powell. My mum told me when i was young that James B Powell was related to Baden Powell who founded the Scouts.Still trying to find my Aunts daughter and family .Think i have found them in Ohio .I found a death certificate on Ancestry with same name with exact date of birth  and  says she was born Canada , also her father was a james B Powell mother Mclaren. We had photos of my aunt with her husband  that she sent to my gran from canada. If i find them i will  find out if i had an uncle related to Baden Powell.

Hi Again

Forgot to ask about H Johnstone in the Quoiting team photo.

My dads gran Janet Graham had a niece Elizabeth Graham who married a Hugh Johnstone 1925.She also had a niece Mary Anne Graham who married a Hugh Johnstone 1924.Wondering if anyone knows what one it is.Also Thomas Cowan in the photo  was married to Elizabeth Graham , daughter of Elizabeth Graham and Dan Mcgachey  and dads gran Janet Grahams cousin LOL.  Probably about 4 son in laws of Elizabeth and Dan Mcgachey ,plus my gran and great grans cousins men and i think B Crainie was bridget grahams father inlaw lol hows that for keeping it in the family.

Hi Wilton Endeavour,

Thanks for the invite.Mary Weldon (Kerr) my sisters friend is always asking me to go up to it.Im the only one in my family researching  my tree but my cousin in Croy  says she would go as well.Mr Coleman knew my family well as did Mr Johnstone. In fact i think my Crainie side was  a connection of his .Also think the Colemans were related to my Smiths .My dad was Alex Young ,Miner and Councillor  for Croy. The photo you have on Croy Historical Society of the Quoiting team are  nearly all relatives of my dads .My dads gran Janet Graham had an aunt Elizabeth Graham who married Daniel mcgachey .Wullie Mulholland was married to their daughter .His grans sister bridget married a Crainey. Are you from Croy.
