thank you for the two John's baptism the second one- do you think the note 7 wks old mean't that the baby was 7 wks old or died 7 wks old. Both the John's could be the father of John, but I'm leaning towards Arthur by a nose going on the date of death of my John, anyway I believe that the Arthur & John are brothers.
Re Samuel Relf my Sarah Relf was born Brightling and married in Hawkhurst 1827, her parents Thomas Relf of Brightling & also from Brightling Elizabeth Atkins.

John Gray 1841 census Parish of Hawkhurst at Horns Pitt farm born in county, 1851 & 1861 census both state Kent Hawkhurst as where born.
