Sligo / McConway - 1841 Census

Ann Jane Mathers (nee: McConway - as listed on her death certificate) was born c1812, we have her as marrying in c1845, Portadown, County Armagh, Ireland, but she was apparently born in Drumcliff, Sligo, Ireland.

Her death certificate doesn't give parents names, only that her fathers occupation was that of a Potter.

Any help would be most appreciated in finding the name of Ann's parents.

Our Ellen Little was born 10 Jul 1847, Smethwick, Staffordshire, England according to her burial record. Her death certificate says her parents were John (occupation: Cashier) and mothers name Sarah (we believe her maiden name may have been Pouncy, but ive yet to find anything on this family to confirm it).

We think that John may have been from Northamptonshire, and Sarah originally from Lincolnshire.

If someone could please do an 1851 search for these people it would be most appreciated.

Hi Dee,

Unfortunately i am quite new to finding info on my O'Farrell, Farrell, Farrel family in Aberdeen (if you check the Aberdeen - Lookup's required section you will see that i have only just had my gg-grandmothers family shown to me in 1881,1891 and 1901).

I suggest that you perhaps ask someone to do a look-up of the 1901 census for Sophia Thomson and Robert Scott O'Farrell, this would then give you their parents....who knows it might even be one of my ellusive uncles ?

My gg-grandmother Josephine O'FARRELL was born abt 1885, Aberdeen. Her parents were Joseph (labourer as listed on Josephine's death certificate) and Mary (nee: McQuilken), who married 26 Nov 1866, Hutchesontown, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland

Josephine married Charles Collie ANDERSON, 30 Dec 1905, Gallowgate United Free Church, St Nicholas, Aberdeen, Aberdeen, Scotland

Josephine wound up going by the name McFARLANE on her
son's birth certificate, yet is reverted back to O'FARRELL on her death certificate....

If some kind soul could please do a look-up for the O'FARRELL clan for me it would be most appreciated, there is some thought that both Joseph and Mary may have been Irish ?
