Essex Lookup Requests / Re: Look up Romford/Barking burial - Popple
« on: Sunday 28 March 10 18:51 BST (UK)  »
Hi, thanks a lot for that! At least I can rule that one out!

She wasn't buried with her husband, he died about 10 years previously.  There is space on his headstone for her so only place I can think of is Romford.

Thanks again!

Hi all.

I am hoping someone can help me!  I am looking where an ancestor of mine was buried.
Lementina Popple, died 4th Feb 1888.  She was living with her daughter and son in law at the Spotted Dog Inn, Barking.  Her death is registered in Romford.

If anyone can help I would love to hear from you!

Hi
We are looking for anyone connected to James Jukes (B.1850) and Maria Cooper (B.1854).

We have census info for 1911/1901/1891/1881 for the unmarried couple (stated they were married by 1891, but no record of this).  It looks like their 1st 3 children were registered as Cooper and the last 2 as Jukes.  Not sure if the 1st 3 were baptised.

James started his working life as a Jeweller, then Lapidary, then General Labourer, Stoker.  He died in 1897.
Their children were: William Edward Cooper (Later known as Jukes), Ann Maria Cooper, James Cooper, Amelia Jukes and Elizabeth.

William was my Grandad's, Grandad.  Nothing has ever been mentioned in my family about the unmarried couple so not a lot is known.  If anyone has come across any interesting info or is connected in any way I would love to hear from you!!
