Glad you like the site - I haven't had a chance to update it recently, but I have another 2000 or so records still to add - mostly from Hampshire and Surrey.

I'm so sorry, I thought both places were really small and I had no idea that you would have to look through soooo many pages.

I really do appreciate your help. If you ever need anything from the Surrey History Centre please let me know - I don't get there as often as I used to but, still try to get there every couple of months or so.

many thanks for that information, I appreciate your help. I knew there were masses of PAYNEs in East Grinstead. Other researchers have suggested that there are 2 main families, who do not appear to be connected to each other. My branch are mainly shoemakers.
