Oh my gosh! I just came across a reference in an old document online to Knightspott Ive been looking for!! Taken 2 years to find it! Just shows you should never give up! The town is documented as "Knychttis potte" and is described as being close to Abernethy in the sheriffdom of Perth! :o ;D ;D ;D

Durham Lookup Requests / Mccoy
« on: Wednesday 02 May 12 08:02 BST (UK)  »
Hi, I recently picked up my family tree again after a break and started to look at my mccoy family. I found "lily nathless mccoy" (spot the obvious typo on findmypast) on the 1911 census thru my friend. I wrote the details down as follows,

"On 1911 census joseph born dublin ? he does something at a music hall the writing is really hard to read, catherine born denby wrexham married for 5 years, lily born staffs , mary born newcastle address 10 Dock Street, Down Back,West Hartlepool"

I am intrigued now as to what it was that i couldnt read about Joe her dad's occupation and was wondering if anyone with access to the 1911 can help me read/find out what he did at the music hall and does anyone have any information about which music hall it could be in Hartlepool near their address in Durham? Id like to research more, sounds fun. I know he was an artist but not sure how that would come into play in a music hall? :/ thanks B  :)
