I just wanted to add that the Elin Richards who married Edward Davies would have to be a daughter of Griffith & Eleanor Richard.

If anybody has done research on the Edward & Eleanor Davies family I would be most interested in getting in touch with you.
I found a Griffith Richard age 40, farmer on the 1841 Census at Talyllyn with wife Elinor age 45.
This rang a bell for me as I have been in touch with a Mrs. Elinda Morris whose grandmother was a Richards. She said they had ties to the Richards at Llanwddyn.
Eleanor (known as Elin) Richards was born at Llanymawddwy in 1838; D. Corris 1912
M. Edward Davies in 1858. Edward b. Corris in 1835/ D. Corris 1896.
This info corresponds with the info on the 1881 Census.
I believe this Griffith Richard could be a son of Richard & Jane Griffith who lived at Deunant, Llanymawddwy. He was the youngest of the family and it is possible that the mother Jane died in 1804 and I have been unable to find the death date of Richard.
Any info is most appreciated.  Thank you,

Johanson

Hi  My 4x grandparent was Richard Griffith B. 1750 at Deunant Llanymawddwy. He married a Jane Jones in 1781 and they had several children. I have found a death of a Jane Griffith 1804 age 40 w. of Richard Griffith (pauper). I also have found a marriage of a Richard Griffith to a Jane Lewis (father Lewis David) in 1816. No ages were given. I have an Indenture dated 1829 in which a Richard Griffith (weaver) from Dolgelly and wife Jane (Lewis) Griffith, and a William Richard are mentioned. It is about Deunant. William Richard would have been a half brother to Richard Griffith.
I have found a death of a Richard Griffith 1840 Sept. at Ffestiniog, again no age was given.
I would appreciate it if someone has accesss to records which may help me in this search.
I thank you advance.

Hi Humphpaul

Congratulations - well done!! Unfortunately your Mary's age doesn't match up with mine. I have a Morgan Jones B.1788 and Mary Jones B.1785 with g.dau. Mary B. 1836 living at Maesglasau, Cerist.  He was a Ag. Laborer and Mary a wool picker and cleaner - don't know for sure if I am on the right track.
Keep in touch, Thanks,

Merionethshire / Richard Griffith, Cowarch

I have found a burial of a Richard Griffith, Cowarch Jan. 6, 1819 age 64, Llanymawddwy.
I have a Mary Richard daughter of Evan Richard of Cowarch b. 1723, married Griffith Jones in 1747. A Richard Griffith was born in 1750 and I'm wondering if perhaps this could be him dieing in 1819. The age is not dead on, I know.
Mary Richard & Griffith Jones lived at Deunant.
Any info would be most appreciated.
Thank you,
Catherine

I just received new info on Richard Jones. He was buried at Garthbeibio Aug. 20, 1877, age 68 -  169 Slate headstone.
1871 census shows he was farming 220 acres at Pencoed Garthbeibio with his son John Jones age 27.

I have been searching for a death/burial of a Richard Jones b. 1811 at Mallwyd. He first married Anne Evans in 1837 and had 3 sons, David, John & Robert. Anne died in 1850 at Braichllwyd and he then married Gwen Richards on March 13, 1857. She died in childbirth as did the baby girl on Nov. 28 1859. I went on the Dolgelly Union Workhouse site and found a Richard Jones, W. age 70 B. Mallwyd there.  Is there any records of deaths there? I did find a death on the freeBMD a Richard Jones 70 of Dolgelly dieing Dec. 1882. Any help or suggestions would be must appreciated.
Thank you,

Johanson

I have found a marriage between an Elinor Richards and Edward Davies in 1858 at Llanwddyn St. Wyddyn, Powys.
I would especially like to know the father's name of Elinor and Edward and any other details.

Thank you,

Catherine
