Caernarvonshire / Robert Roberts 1857
« on: Wednesday 20 May 20 14:55 BST (UK)  »
Hoping that someone can help me. I'm trying to trace my great grandfathers family and reached a blank with his brother. He was Robert Roberts born in 1857 in Cricieth. His parents were John and Jane Roberts. I can see him in 1861 census and as a servant in 1871 census but then no trace or am I missing something?

I hope someone can help me. I'm looking for a second marriage of Richard Lewis a tailor from Amlwch. In 1901 he was 28 and lived with his wife Jane and three children. He is down as a widow on the 1911 census but I know he was married to a Mary ( I think) soon after as their first child arrived in 1914. I can't find the second marriage and it might not be on Anglesey? Would be grateful of any help.

I know that a relative of mine was baptized at All Saints Weaste in 1911. The mother was not married and names a father on the baptism record. I have a few questions that I'm hoping someone can help me with. Would she have been accepted for a church baptism if they knew the child had been born out of wedlock? If she lived in the parish would she have had to be a member of that church? If she names the father at the baptism would he have had to be there with her? Would he also have had to live in the parish? Grateful for any help.

Forward if possible. Would like to know if the family are still in the Harlech area.
