Are you descended from Edward (Johann Friedrich Eduard) directly or connected via his Stettin roots

Hi KW,

Perhaps not of much help but Robert Flemings burial details at Cornelian Bay are here -

http://stors.tas.gov.au/AF70-1-71 Scroll to 45822.

http://stors.tas.gov.au/AF35-1-4 Scroll to page 284.

TAHO only has copies of some post 1900 Hobart marriages and St Joseph's Catholic Church registers only up until 1895, so can't do a lookup. The information could be obtained by contacting the Catholic Dioceses Archives in Hobart -

http://hobart.catholic.org.au/content/archives

Cheers,

Peter

Thank you Tas Tyger for those copies

Marriage
FLEMING Robert
KELLY Amy
11 Feb 1907
At St Joseph's School, Hobart  Reg#358

It would appear Robert was born c1880.

21 May 1949
ZINC WORKER
FATALLY INJURED
HOBART, Friday. – Robert Fleming (69) received fatal injuries at the zinc works today while greasing a conveyor belt.  He was dead on arrival at the Royal Hobart Hospital.

The Advocate  5 Jul 1949
HOBART, Monday.-A finding of accidental death was returned
by the Coroner (Mr. H. M. Brettingham-Moore) to-day at an inquest on Robert Fleming. Fleming died in the ambulance on the way to Royal Hobart Hospital on May 20. Dr. Campbell Duncan said he died of natural causes.

I did notice the following marriage in Victoria for a Robert Henderson FLEMING.
Perhaps you may like to suggest to the other researcher to purchase an image of the certificate from Vic bdm.

FLEMING Robert Henderson Born Hobart
KING Mildred
1902 Reg#8234

Cando

Thank you very much Cando for the marriage details regards KW

Thank you for your reply Debra, hopefully some info on marriage to help with the real reason I'm chasing this. I do have the burial record you have shown, also his wife Amy buried same cemetery 20 years later. I have been told that Amy married a Robert Henderson Fleming, Henderson being his mothers maiden name I do not believe this to be true, as Robert Henderson Fleming died in Victoria 27th Feb 1950 Reg Vic. 2501 aged 68 yrs, as well as this a "Age" death notice to this effect and memoriam x 2 from his wife Emma or Ethel.
I have a death notice "The Mercury" Tasmania for a Robert wife of Amy Frances  which includes the two daughters etc date of death at Hobart  20th May 1949 also a funeral and memoriam notice from the same paper, but still cannot convince the other researcher that they were two different men, and at the same time find the ancestry of the correct Robert, I have not been able to find his birth in Tasmania, but have the birth of Robert Henderson Fleming who was born Tasmania.
So I am chasing the death cert and marriage and birth of the correct Robert to ascertain his ancestry, I am not being pedantic as the Rob. Hen. Fleming has flitted from Tas to Vic and disappeared from Amy's place of abode on a couple of occasions (Aust Voter Lists)

Trying to finds a marriage c1907 in Tasmania between  Amy Frances Kelly and  Robert Fleming, Amy born 8th Jul 1883 at Richmond to parents Patrick Kelly and Sarah Hewitt, also record of Roberts death according to newspaper notice he died 20th May 1949. I only know of 2 children to this marriage Joyce Amy b. 1913 and Phyllis Sarah c 1914

Not really fat fingers, but that was the birth of a Mary Jane Grey father John, born 1884  27th June London Middlesex Ontario mother called Elizabeth Jane Jaynes, whilst I'm at it there was also a Mary born to a John Grey  and  Elizabeth  c 1865 family see census 1871 Whitchurch Ontario. Not to be confused with the North Renfrew family.

Sorry, fat fingers, I have also not been able to find what happened to either Henry or Mary, or whether John and Elizabeth had any children between 1858 and 1868 seems strange (although not impossible) that they had no children during first ten years of marriage.
