Re the Andrew Hyslop who died at Canonbie in 1886, there. is a M.I. relating to him at Canonbie
churchyard. It gives his death as 19 Aug 1866  age 78 yrs. His wife Margaret Elliot died 25 Oct 1838 age 47 yrs. Also his daughter Isabella who died 4 June 1842 age 11 yrs. Both Andrew and Margaret died at Hollows.

Their son Robert  No 40501 K.O.S.B. died 24 Nov 1916 aged 20 years. He was buried at Grove Town Cemetery, Meaulte, Fance. The link below should take you to his memorial on Findagrave.

Hi and welcome.
Re Robert Henderson 1862-1938,  there is a burial record for Holywood Churchyard. It shows a burial on 6 Jan 1938 in respect of Robert Henderson aged 75 years. His occupation is a blacksmith & his place of death was East Cluden. The burial is in Section E. Lair No 12. No other person shown.

There is also a monumental inscription at the same churchyard for the following....

In Loving Memory  of Robert  Henderson, who died East Cluden 9th July 1894 aged 73 years.
Also  Margaret Stevenson his wife,who died at East Cluden 18th August 1894 aged 62 years.

 Hi, have found a M.I. at Troqueer Graveyard which I think will be of some help.
I have copied it out below....

Erected in Memory of William Denholm,who died Jan 1822.
Jane Aughterson his wife who died 1813.
Robert Denholm his son who died Oct 7th 1856.
Margaret Gibson his wife who died May 24th 1849.
Also the children of the above Robert Denholm and Margaret Gibson; 
William, died 14th Feb 1882 aged 14.
James, died in infancy.
John McGhie Denholm, died in London 1845 aged 43.
David, died in London 1827 aged 30.
Robert died in London 1877 aged 62.
James who died at Cargen Croft, Troqueer March 6th 
1871 aged 49.
Mary, wife of Wm. Waugh who died in London
July 1865 aged 61.
Alexander Denholm, who died in London 14th Aug 1882 aged 65.
Adam Black, joiner Cargen Bridge who died
23rd Nov 1880 aged 74.
Janet Denholm his wife who died 8th Jan 1882 aged 85.
Jessie McAdam, granddaughter of the above Adam Black,
who died 1862 aged 1 year.
Also Robert eldest son of the above Adam Black who died
at Maybourgh, Queensland, 26th Feb 1898 aged 58 years.
That may answer a few questions....

Oh good find. That entry is not in the book of MI's.
Have just checked the "Death & Interment Register" for Canonbie Parish which is on Ancestry.
Entry No 16 gives Walters date of death as 28th Aug 1897 aged 80 years & his burial 31st Aug 1897.

I can find no reference to Walter in the MI's for Canobie at the moment. (Have misplaced my reading
glasses at the moment)

Hi, just for info, re message # 3.

In the MI's for Canonbie church graveyard there is an entry that
relates to Margaret Telford spouse of James Clapperton who died at Ladyhousestead 7th April1867
aged 72 years. Also James Clapperton who died 19th May1873 aged 79 years.
