Hi Jim,
Many thanks for your reply, persistence and hard work.  You have located the right man.  Alexander's parent's address was 10 Allan Street, Dundee.  You have given me something to follow up on tomorrow - its late at night here, so I'll do it tomorrow with a fresh mind.  Sincere thanks for your wonderful help.
Kindest regards,
Daniel Ryan.

Many thanks for all the effort that you all put in to assist with my enquiry.
The information about Alexander was provided to me from a common family history website that has a sister company that deals with military records.
My Alexander was born on 16 Feb 1874 as I mentioned earlier.  I don't have the original image but I can tell you from the thumbnail that the headings are as follows:
Heading: Non-Effective Officers
Sub-Heading: Officers who held Temporary Commissions, Officers of the Special Reserve and Territorial Forces, &c., in receipt of Non-Effective Pay.
I cannot tell you any more about Alexander as he drops off the radar after the 1901 Census.
Kindest regards,
Daniel Ryan.

Hello,
Looking for some help please in trying to locate any information about Alexander McLaren b. 16 Feb 1874 in Dundee, Scotland.  His name apparently appears on the above list with the Regiment: Terr. Force Bn. R. Highrs in Oct 1918.  I'm afraid I know nothing about military history.
Kindest regards,
Daniel Ryan.

Hi,

On the Scottish Census 1871 a 68 year old male relative who was a Labourer has his occupation recorded as Labourer (quite inprin).  Would anyone know what "quite inprin" means please?.

Kindest regards,
Daniel Ryan.

Hi,
Could I please get some help again.

Looking for any information on Walter Swanson, Service Number: 1101, Gordon Highlanders.  Believe he may have been a POW.  Walter was born about 1892, New Deer, Aberdeenshire.

Thanks in advance.
