Thanks for that.
I have been struggling to find the info for years.
This is the most promising thing I have seen yet.

I did not realise that the port had two names.

I think that the cruise ship called at Nassau and went on to fort Lauderdale
I have found a link but can not make significant sense of it
I am not sure of the date. Only that my late father was on the ship with his mother.

More to follow

Thé voyage that I am seeking details on took place in Dec 1967.

Feeling a little nostalgic

Does any remember the scavenger hunts led by tephra, Great fun. Also Tati and what a Wiz she was on the boards.

I remember them well. I derived a huge amount of information via them.
Thanks again to everyone who contributed.

Thanks for the suggestion Neil.

The ###### ing misunderstanding arose because a man that used to be employed by my great uncle wrote to me a few days ago and stated that he thought that Sid’s wife’s maiden name was Black.

I was merely double checking

Our previous correspondence left no doubt as to the fact that he thought that he was working for Sidney Brown whose grave I visited at Tow Law several years ago.

I am not sure if Sid’s wife would be so loving if she knew about what a young girl who sailed the USA on ship called MV Carman as part of a family wrote about . I have the pictures which she does not want me to publish.

PS I am XXXX sorry that I have caused some to use such foul language on an open forum.

The SB in the OP is certainly my paternal GM’s younger brother.
It crossed my mind that Joseph Marsden could have possibly been Cicely Marsden’s father.
