I had a look at this but thought it was probably William Thomas Dixon and was looking if there was a link between the Boarder Wm Toner and Wm Dixon,
I will pursue the bmd, thank's for your reply.

G'day
Can anybody help with my ggWilliam Tonar Dixon born 1876, the Tonar is also spelt "Tone" on my Grandparents Marriage Certificate, and we have relations that spell it "Tona" as a second name, 1901 census has William T Dixon 1876 South Shields and Jane Dixon(Bailey). When I have looked in the 1881 census i cannot find a suitable W T Dixon but found.

John Dixon-son-u-male-14-Gateshead Durham
Mary a Dixon-Dau-Female-9-N shields Northumberland

Does anyone have any info on this Family

I have a photo of Grandad  James Murray and one of his brothers or Gran Murray's(not sure who)and Gran Murray nee Dorothy Dixon I will try to post the picture, also I have the name Bailey, Station Road Ashington, as one of their Granparents but not sure possibly on the Dixon side.Photo is mid 60s they are living in Conisbrough

G'day

I am trying to gather information on the parents of my grandfather Samuel Hooley born 12/09/1890 Dewsbury, information I have from my mother Irene Rose Hooley is he was married twice first to a Susannah Rowley then to Esther Robinson Birch, I can confirm the marriages but the 1881 census for Dewsbury  looks to have mis-spelled information .

Sarah Jane hoolly d5 years
Earnest Hoolly      s 6mths
George Rowley boarder
I believe this is the family I am looking for , does anybody have any more information on this family, any help appreciated.

This information is great. I am trying to get into contact with relatives in england to get a background on them, my family came to Australia in 1970 and I have not heard from any of the Murrays in England in that time, a good opportunity to make contact thanks.

I am trying to find information on my grandparents James Murray and Dorothy Dixon, I have my grandfathers DOB 26/03/1897 kircudbrightshire but I do not have any information on my grandmother Dorothy Dixon, my father was born Robert Murray 29/12/1929 28 Juliet Street Ashington Northumberland, my grandfather was a coal miner and later moved to Conisbrough, Yorkshire. Any help appreciated.

I am trying to find infomation on my grandfather James Murray born 26/03/1897 Rhonehouse, Kelton district near Castle Douglas. He married Dorothy Dixon and my father Robert Murray was born in Ashington Northumberland 1929. Any help appreciated.
