Thank you so much both of you this greatly appreciated and so interesting

I have lots of pictures in an album. Which I will  share

Is there a place I could share these photos as other people may be of interest as there lots of men on them

But everything you say my grandad did makes sense, as once he left the war.

He went on and drove buses, and had his own mini bus which he drove for stag hen parties etc.

He also drove men to G K Sankeys in Telford. Where he worked for many years. They built tanks, and my granddad drove them if I remember right to test them

Cheshire / Where did John Reeves come from?? **My 6th Grandfather**
« on: Monday 18 January 21 19:48 GMT (UK)  »
Good evening,

I am wondering if anyone could help me.  I am looking to locate John Reeves baptism and parentage He is my 6th grandfather.

John Reeves married Martha Stephens on the 26th September 1790 in Malpas, Cheshire.  It says both of this parish, John - Oldcastle and Martha Stephens Cuddington. I have located Marthas baptism from her burial record.  She was born in 1756

I am assume John will be born the same decade similar year.  I have been hunting a baptism for John within this time scale.

A baptism I have located for a John Reeves baptised 1757 Middlewich which is 24 miles in current times.  I have no marriage for this John Reeves, but have located a John Reeves buried in Davenham from Middlewich no age but classed as a youngster in 1780 could this be the same person?  I dont think this could be my ancestor

Martha passed away in 1830 Malpas aged 74 years of age husband John Reeves.  I can't locate a death for John

They had 3 children
Richard Reeves born 1791 Baptised St Oswald, Malpas - my ancestor - married Mary Maddocks 30th December 1812 Malpas Cheshire

Mary Reeves born 1795 passes away 1826
William Reeves born 1798 - passes away 1819

Not sure if any other children they lived in Isycod of Malpas

Any help will be truly appreciated in this quest
Thanks in advance
Fiona
