Unfortunately it doesn't give those details, which is what I was hoping for. It does give an address at least.

Hi, just in case anyone who reads this is interested, the informant on Thomas Watson death cert was John Christopher Forsythe, but as yet I'm not sure what relation he might be.

Thanks Carole,
Yes I have the death certificate on order (presuming its the right one!) He married Rhoda in Perth in 1927 at York Hall, Perth. I'm hoping the certificate might give me a clue as I can't find much else, even where he lived in Whittlesey/Peterborough, surprising with it being so recent.

Hi, has anyone any links to a Thomas Watson, originally from Scotland but spent more of his life in Peterborough/Whittlesey area?

Born 1901 in Perth, Scotland to George Watson and Barbara Stewart.
Married Rhoda McIntosh Carr in 1927 and had one child Muriel in 1931.

Spent some time in Birmingham, working as an aircraft fitter.

When Rhoda died in 1941, I believe he moved to the Peterborough area. At some stage he worked at a music shop in Peterborough called Turners.

I am told he was at Whittlesey when he died. I'm told it was the 80s, although the only match I can find is 1991, so I think that must be him. I have that death cert on order.

Wondering if anyone knew of or has come across Thomas? I want to find out more about him and if he remarried.

Thanks in advance.
Kerry

Apologies, yes it is 1851 William and Janet were married.

Wiliam Junior's death, in 1946, was indeed in Scotland. His parents are listed as William Carr, shoe maker and Janet Kettles. All seems to fit.

Would you think it safe to presume that Margaret was written in error on the marriage certificate?-would that be a common occurrence?

Perhaps Janet and Jessie are the same person.

Monica, thank you for that link. Wonderful.

Hi

William Carr (1870-1946) married Agnes McIntosh (1874-1954) Perth.

On their wedding record, William's parents are listed as William Carr and Margaret Kettle.

In 1854, William Carr married JANET Kettle. Would you think that this could be the same couple at all? Or is it highly unlikely with the name Janet and Margaret being so different.
William is listed as a shoe maker on both records but perhaps that's just coincidence. I'm not sure how to figure it out. Anyone else come across these folk?
Thanks in advance,
Kerry
