Glamorganshire Lookup Requests / Re: Grave lookup Trealaw / Llethrddu cemetery
« on: Thursday 30 June 22 19:18 BST (UK)  »
I’m wondering if anyone can help me please, I’m trying to find the graves of my partners great grandparents, they are buried in Treallaw cemetery…..
George Buck 18/7/1871 died 3/8/1949 23 Wyndham St. Penygraig
Annie Blanche Norman Buck 27/10/1873 died 6/12/1951 in The Craig Hospital Penygraig
We are visiting the area soon to visit the site where his birth fathers ashes are scattered and would have liked to visit their grave. Thanks in advance for any information.
P.S. I don’t think there is a headstone.

Hello Jackie,
I’ve just been reading your post about John Neasham and was wondering if you ever found any more information on Ann his wife they were my 4x grandparents. John his son married Sarah Wappet 3x and their daughter Sarah Ann married George Etherington my 2x. George’s daughter Annie my g grandmother and Annie’s son  John Wandless was my grandfather. Did you ever find Ann ( John’s sister) I’ve been told she married William Thomlinson in Darlington. I know it’s quite a while since you wrote this post so hopefully you will receive this.
Kindest Regards.

He was born 1921 and must have joined near where he lived in Cheshire. Its so annoying as I can remember him having this kind of record/ diary that had his number in and the ships he was on but no one seems to know where it went. So many questions I want to ask him 🙈
Thanks for your help I really do appreciate it.

Thanks for the welcome, it takes some getting used to and I keep getting things wrong. I’ve posted dads photo it might help a bit more than the last one. I’m trying to find his war record but I don’t know wether he was in the Royal Navy or Merchant Navy and there was a reserve as well. It’s for a local historian but I haven’t got his number either so I don’t know wether it’s worth paying £30 and asking Navy Command Headquarters in Portsmouth. I’ll check your photo now against his. Thanks for your help.

I know this isn’t a very good photo but can anyone tell me if it’s a Royal Navy or Merchant or in fact Merchant Reserve. I’ve been trying to find out about my dads naval record during 39-45 but not sure if I can without writing for his war records. I know how long this takes after receiving my uncles war records while in the Marines. Also are there any records on the ATS, or would they not be released. Any information would be gratefully received. Thank you everyone.
