Caernarvonshire / Re: Pritchards- Bangor
« on: Sunday 18 April 10 19:03 BST (UK)  »
Thanks Welshgen, these Pritchards are my family, but to correct you they are on the 1901 Census and live at 11 Club Street, slight error!
The reason for my query re the 'Swallow' is that John, aged 26 on the 1901 Census, whom is my g/grandfather, was known as Jack Swallow. Dont know whether the name was carried down the generations, as his father also a John and also his grandfather was also a John, so could be that the Swallow originated with the first John - who on the 1861 Census were living at Back Edmond St in Hirael. On 1851 only Mary his wife and children- John,Mary Catherine and William. John must have been at sea on night of Census. Would like to find out which John had the connection with the 'Swallow'.
Dont know where Salsalass is coming from with her Margaret as there is no connection with a Margaret to this Pritchard family here!

Caernarvonshire / Pritchards- Bangor

Searching for info on three generations of John Pritchards who lived in the Hirael area of Bangor, and they were all sailors.
My g/randfather John Pritchard was born about 1876 to John and Ellen Pritchard, his father John was the son of John and Mary Pritchard. The first John was a master mariner, and there was a boat named 'Swallow' as a connection, as my g/grandfather was called Jack Swallow. Don't know which generation the Swallow became connected.
Any info would be appreciated.

Helo,
Ia, da chi'n iawn. Ar cyfrifiad 1901 mae'r  Pierce Wheldon Williams yma yn fab i William Owen Williams a aned yn fferm Bodfeurig, LLandegai, a Mary Williams. Mae Pierce yma yn 1901 yn 13eg.
Mae'r William Owen Williams yn frawd i fy hen/hen/hen nain sef Elizabeth Williams, neu Lizzie Bodo- fel ei gelwir adag honno, hyn oherwydd yr enw Bodfeurig.
Mandy.

United States of America / Re: Thomas J Thomas, Wales
« on: Friday 15 May 09 21:18 BST (UK)  »
Thanks Erato, Genealiza and Lisa in California. My Thomas J. Thomas does fit into slot of one found in 1880 in Peach Bottom, then in 1900 Stearns Precinct living as a widow with mother in law Winifred, again in 1910 in Dis 5, Harford.
Son Arthur was living back in Wales with his aunt on 1891 and 1901 UK Census.
Any tips on how I can locate descendants of Thomas? Maybe location of burial, or desendants of daughter Lina that was living with her father on 1910 US Census?
Thanks,
Mandy

Searching for Thomas J Thomas and wife named Jane, from Wales - children Arthur, Maggie and Lina found on 1880 Census, living in Coulsontown, Delta, PA. Son Arthur came back to Wales to live. Think that Thomas still living with daughter Lina in Harford on 1910 Census.
Brother Morris and family settled in coal region sckullkill, PA.
Would like to locate descendants of Thomas, if possible
