Monmouthshire / 58 Queen Street, Tredegar 1891
« on: Wednesday 01 January 25 17:01 GMT (UK)  »
I am looking for the occupiers of 58 Queen Street, Tredegar on the 1891 census. I have numbers 1 to 21 Queen St, on district 03 of the Tredegar census, without going through each of the other districts does anyone know which district would have No.58?

on the 1901 Wales census in Merthyr Tydfil I have a Ellen Caddick nee Griffiths(wife of a Edward Caddick who is in SA in boer war) living with 2 of her brothers and a Jas (James/John) Caddick shown as brother-in-law.

James/John is shown as born 1884 in Tipton Staffs (the census shows Glam but is incorrectly transcribed) and I assume (?) brother of Edward Caddick born 1876 Tipton Staffs.

Now I do believe that Edward is an illegitimate birth based on baptism records and military attest information.

What I trying to find is any other information on James/John Caddick. If he is illegitimate I believe this would be his birth certificate:

Name   John Caddick
Registration Date   1883[1883]
Quarter of the Year   Jan-Feb-Mar
Registration Place   Dudley, Staffordshire, England
Volume   6c
Page   81

The 1901 census is the only concrete information I have:

Detail Source
Name   Jas Caddick
Age in 1901   17
Estimated Birth Year   abt 1884
Relation   Brother-in-law
Gender   Male
Where born   Glam, Baynarren (transposed with Ellen's brother
Civil parish   Merthyr Town   Dowlais
Ecclesiastical parish   Dowlais St John
County/Island   Glamorgan
Country   Wales
Registration district   Merthyr Tydfil
Sub-registration district   Upper Merthyr Tydfil
Piece   5029
Folio   62
Page number   22
Household Members (Name)   Age   Relationship
Ellen Caddick  20      Head
Jas Griffiths    22      Brother
Jas Caddick    17      Brother-in-law
Thos Griffiths 10       Brother

Rather long winded but would welcome any assistance with James/John Caddick
NOTE: I have all Information on Edward from birth to death.

Hi softly I don't have a Find My Past account and what I can see gives a death date but not a dob, so I assume that it is the information that I already have but I will go to the library and check on the Find My Past website, but thanks. Ray

Thank you nanny Jan, but I do have all the information on Clifford Healey and his family, what I need is confirmation information that the Clifford Healey that died in the air crash in 1943 is the Clifford Healey that is in my family tree. I believe it is the man but I need a dob or family connection to confirm. Ray

Hi Philip, thanks for the reply. I have the RAF Commands posting which again just gives name rank and number. I have a feeling that because they just have that information I will probably need the service record to be 100%, but I thought I would try Rootschat who I have found to be so successful in the past.
