Hello Simon, Nice to hear from you , ON the date of Alex and Elizabeth mariage i must have made a mistake as the correct date was 29 1 1918 in Forres Morayshire , sorry . Elizabeth died in 16 12 1961 , aged 74 , in the Jubilee hospital Huntly Abdn shire , she died as the widow of Alex Grant so had not remarried , no family .
                                             regards Tom

Hello Norrie , sorry my dates were wrong , the thomas you mention in the edinburgh cesus is the son of the thomas who i believe is buried in cupar , the census confirms he belonged to cupar , i am fairly sure he would have a stone as they were quite well of , what other cems are in the cupar area ?
        regards tom .

thanks Norrie , none of these dates match up with mine , there are a few different spellings even in the same families ,often the mistake of registars who just wrote it down as it sounded and was never corrected , i will need to do a bit more research , i believe there are a few in Kilmany churchyard but without stones .
 thanks tom .

Hello Simon ,  Alex Grant married Elizabeth Barbara Simpson 21. 9 . 1918 at forres moray , Alex ad given as , driver 3¬5 Bedfords , Crowbury camp Essex ,
This is only 7 months before he died , must have been on leave ,i find this unusal if he was on active service , ur views on this Simon .
Elizabeth Barbara Grant widow of Alexander Grant driver died on the 6.12. 1961 at the Jubilee hosp Huntly , age 74 . It would look like she never remarried , no mention of any family, sugnature on death certificate unreadable

Many thanks Annette , it would look that he must have been on leave when he got married , a lot of why s did he go to du nstable to enlist , i thought his wife was from there , his adress there was beachwood dunstable , the reason i am tracing them is, his oldest brother was married to my grandmothers sister , i have drawn a blank trying to find them , so trying to get a lead by finding out about Alex and any family he might have ,
                  also thanks ev ,
                                          regards tom
