Hi Emma. I noticed that the E'bay listing had other items as well as the photos. Did you buy the whole lot?
Regards...Harry

Hi Emma, I have the photos thanks, I downloaded them from your original posting. William Figgest was one of a large family as I have mentioned his father was my grandfathers' brother. Funnily enough, his motherrs' name was Emma also. He fought as a gunner in WW1 and received the General Service Medal after. Even stranger, I have been playing around on the Net and found that he wrote a poem call "The Kaiser's Dream". If you go to Google you can find a copy.It is still my sorrow that I did not meet very many of my father's family, although they only lived in Summerstown, Wimbledon no more than a couple of miles away. Cheers...Harry

Hi, Private W.Figgest was the son of my grandfathers brother. His fathers name was also William. He did serve in WW1 in the Royal Garrison Artillery and did indeed survive the war. Unfortunately, I never ever got to meet him.
Harry Figgest.

In 2008, one Emsworthy published photos of soldiers from various wars WW1 and 2. One was of a soldier Figgest. This person was my great uncle and I have no photos of him. if Emsworthy sees this can they contact me as I am interested in the source of the photo and whether any others of the same family name are available.
