you can try the electral role, again held in the library, war records, newspapers and search your memory for any names mentioned in passing.

I am having the same trouble.

I don't know that I can give much advice. 

My grandfather moved to Pontipridd and married in 1916. He was also a miner. He had  returned to Wilts by 1933.  I have tried various Welsh sites and assume everyone left around 1925 because mining was declining.

I am trying to contact the coal board to see if they have any records.
