Hi
Thanks for the contact sorry for the delay in replying but I have been away on extended vacation.  If Desmond A Dawson is interested then I would like to send him a letter. What I and a number of other researchers into the Clinton Family are interested in is the father of James Noble Clinton who died in 1837. His name was Arthur Clinton and we are all trying to find out where he was born. Family folk lore has him comming from Ireland but despite many searches no trace has been found. I was hoping that a family bible or similar record might exist in either Australia or New Zealand. Any help would be most welcome

Louth / Valentine Clinton
« on: Saturday 30 October 10 22:08 BST (UK)  »
Hi
Can anyone help. I have 2 references to Valentine Clinton.
1) 1842 voters list for Louth at Newhouse Ferrard
2) Death of a Valentine Clinton Civil Registration Indexes death in 1865 with age at death 16 in Drogheda registration district.
Clearly they can not be the same person and I suspect that the first is the the parent of the second with Newhouse being only circa 5 miles from Drogheda. I can find no other information on either. The reason I am looking for further information is that it might give a clue as to where an Arthur Clinton b 1792 was born. A Valentine Clinton appears later in 1880's born in London and as it is such an unusual name might be a relation carrying the name on.
Any further information would be much appreciated

Trying to trace Noble Clinton and his decendants. Noble Clinton was born in 1875 to James Noble (Charles)Clinton and Martha Jane (Toner)? , Noble was born in Gundagai NSW. I believe he had a son William D Clinton. James Clinton was the brother of my Grt  Grandfather Arthur Peter Clinton. James arrived in Melborne Australia in 1857 with his wife Margaret. taking part I believe in the Gold Rush at Bellarat. Margaret died in 1864 and James married to Martha Jane (Toner)? They moved to Gundagai where 3 children were born Clara 1874, Noble in 1875 and Regina S M in 1878. James died in 1879.
Trying to locate and decendants.

Roth Jones was a prominent lawyer in Dublin circa 1680-1730. Does anyone know if his papers were preserved and are they available for research.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Armagh / Lettice Brownlow
« on: Thursday 28 January 10 18:29 GMT (UK)  »
Lettice Brownlow who married Arthur Chamberlain, Christopher Clinton, Alexander Ashton and Lastly Mr Beversham died in 1699. She is buried in Shankhill Lurgan County Armagh, and I have a reference that on her tombstone there is an indication as her children, grand children and even great grand children. Has anyone any information as to the exact nature of the insciption on the tombstone,  is it just a total statement or does it list individuals?
Thanks for any help
