Hi there...You likely have solved your problem, I know you posted this quite some time ago, but the Henry Pye you speak of was my GG Grandfather born in Bocking, Essex. Henry married Mary Anne Ayerst. They moved to Canada in 1861 after the 1861 English Census. Here are the family I have identified before Canada:
John Pye b 1745? m Anne Bevis b 1745?
Son: Charles 1787 - 1834 m Anne Keys 1793 - 1845
Children: Charles 1810 - 1834; William 1812 - ; Susannah 1814 - ; John 1816 - 1878; Ann 1818 - 1824; Alfred 1823 - 1825; Walter 1828 - 1871; Allen 1829 - 1834; Henry 1832 - 1906; Charles Allen 1834 - 1835.
Henry and his older brother both became Marine Bandsmen. Their mother died young as had their father. Both became piano makers in Canada.
