Hi,

My name is Vivienne Watson, my mother was a Isabella Shaw from Newtownards town. I have been doing research since she passed away in 1997. My line goes back to a Henry Shaw Born about 1800 from Newtownards area. I have come across Shaw's at Drumhirk, Newtownards. Between n'ards and Bangor and Donaghadee near the Siz Roads Ends. Some records say Drumhirk, Bangor and others Drumhirk, Newtownards. There is another one which is more popular now at Comber, Co. Down. Found a lot of Shaw's at Kircubbin, and Portavogie and Ballywatler.

I am to go to Proni at Belfast Records Office, will let you know what I find, good luck, not much online more a paper trail?

Vivienne Watson, Mckee/Shaw.

JAMES/WILLIAM/ALEXANDER/JAMES SETTLED IN CO. DOWN AND WERE ULSTER COVENTERS. I can trace family back to Saintfield, and he came over with HAMILTON/MONTGOMERY, farmers, and ORANGEMEN, and CHURCH of SCOTLAND, UNITED FREE.
