Thank you Greensleeves
You have all been so welcoming and helpful on this Site.  I cannot find a likely Marriage for my Sailor but I do believe I have found a Death for him at age only 39.  He had a brother, 2 years his senior, who joined The Royal Welsh Fusiliers in Dec 1915 and died only 7 months later at The Battle of the Somme.  Family stories said Frederick had perished at sea during WW1 but the National Archives Record show that he was not discharged from The Royal Navy until Apr 1920!

To Jebber
Thank you so very much for helping me - I had no idea about going to the National Archives and was going to write to the Navy!  I panicked a little when I saw it would cost me £3-£50 then I realised it was £3.50 !!
I have the Record now - very hard to read.  It seems Frederick was discharged in 1920 so I am still looking for his whereabouts after that and his date and place of death.

Pickett, Frederick William b. 1894 Wycombe, Bucks

Joined the Royal Navy and believed to have been at HMS Pembroke, the Chatham Shore Station.  Nothing else can be found on him.  I do not know which ship he was asssigned to or when or where he died.  See his photo taken in WW1 but date unknown.
Can anyone please help me regarding records I can search, etc, etc,?
