Nicholas Lambert married Bridget Doyle on 22 November, 1847, in the parish of Bree.

So she was apparently not from Rathangan.

No sign of a marriage of Nicholas and Bridget in the Rathangan parish registers, which would suggest that she was not from that parish.

If you look in Griffith's Valuation, published in 1853, Nicholas Lambert held a substantial farm and farmhouse in Norristown. It is therefore very strange that they later emigrated to the US - not the class of person who typically did so.

However, 20 years earlier, the tythe valuation in 1833 shows no Lambert in Norristown. That suggests that the family were not originally from there. This is consistent with there being no sign of a baptism for Nicholas or Bridget in the parish records, which are extant from 1803, though with a significant gap from 1805 to 1813.

I don't know where else to post. this......ive got a. family.in England who give their son the middle name of Lyon. in England in 1819....was this a purely jewish name at the. time and.considered  somehow not very respectable by conservative non jewish families, or was it used by everyone

Why would anyone think that the Irish surname Lyon is Jewish??
