I have a copy from the Parish records, but would like any info from both. Information gleaned from the Roots chat room is that they have 2 children, Adam & Robert both baptised in St Peter's Parish Church. Adam born 16.09.18 baptised 14.10.1868. Robert born 4.12.1869 baptised 3.03.1870.
1911 John & Ellen Jones were living in Elaine St and Ellen claims to have had 3 children but one had died. Also in 1911,Mary (Jepson, John's wife) was living in Talbot St claiming she to be married for 20 years and had 6, 4 of whom had died.
When she married John Barlow, had a daughter Maggie aged 6.

Can anyone help with any information about my grandfather, John Barlow who married Mary Jane Jepson in St Bride's Church, Liverpool 21 December 1890. They did have children but separated. John went on to live with Ellen Jane Jones who was a housekeeper and ther had 3 children, Henry, Hugh and Annie.
I believe they had a coal yard in Maude Street Liverpool, but can't confirm this.
It seems as if both women have disappeared from the face of the earth.
Any help will be gratefully received.

I think this may be him because I have just read through some of the letters i have and his mother died about 7th March 1886 and his father died 11 days later.
Around the Christmas time, Robert was admitted to the asylum with "slight mental derangement arising from over indulging a little too freely at Christmas 1888.
It seems there was a large wake in Ballyclough. I will look up the link you sent.

Hello,
Is there anyone out there that can help?
I am looking for ROBERT EDGAR who I believe to have lived in a house maybe attached to Ansborou Stores,
Bally Clough, Castlewellan, Co. Down around 1884.
He used to write to his cousin Mary (I think that was her name) and in a letter to her he asks for letters to be sent to the above address but not to write the name of the store so that the postman would deliver it to the house.
Mary married JAMES BARLOW who moved to Liverpool around 1864 - 1866.
They had a son John (my Paternal grandfather)
John married Mary Jepson in St Brides Church, Toxteth Liverpool in 1891
I seem to have hit a brick wall with John Barlow so am trying to trace other members of the family and would be grateful if anyone can help throw some light on this.
