London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / Lovett/McQueen Battersea
« on: Tuesday 03 January 06 02:55 GMT (UK)  »
Hi all - heres to hoping I have placed this query in the correct section! (I am not from Uk so Im unfamiliar with counties etc but Im learnin!)

My query is for any information on William Henry Richard Lovett and his wife May Madeline Lovett nee McQueen. I have a birth certificate for their son Henry George Lovett born 1911 which states William was an Omnibus Driver and they  resided at 44 Henley St Battersea. I would like to find out if I could anything on William and May if they had any other children (believe there was an Edward Charles son) and William and Mays siblings and parents if the information is available.

Thanking you all in advance

Yorkshire (East Riding & York) / Re: Windle family of Beverley
« on: Wednesday 23 November 05 03:30 GMT (UK)  »
thanks Colin, yes I had searched FreeBMD finding the marriage and possible children up to 1909 when I found a Lizzie Windle dying at aged 31 in Beverley.   I am just wondering if anyone out there is searching the WINDLE name and/or can establish if Lizzie and Andrew married in a church or the registry office in Beverley.   It looks like they may have had their first child (and maybe an earlier illegitimate daughter) before they married.   Hoping for any replies.    Thanks

Hi there Chris,

I too am tracing that same line - I have just been in contact with a lady  who is tracing the same line too. She has just sent me her information via email to compare notes. If youd like to contact me for information dont hesitate! (I dont have any information prior to Sarah and Jacob though just descendants)

Graveyards and Gravestones / Re: Do we need a Gravestone board?
« on: Wednesday 10 August 05 23:46 BST (UK)  »
Hi everyone,

I am willing to take photos of headstones in these cemeteries in South Australia: Enfield, Smithfield, Cheltenham and Dudley Park. Enfield is within 5 minutes of my home so I dont mind going there any day - they have a touch screen computer on site so I can lookup before I go wandering aimlessly thru the large cemetery. The others arent close but I still dont mind going to look as I have ancestors there myself.

Centennial Park Cemetery has its own website to check out whether youre ancestors are there or not - but its quite a distance from where I live so unless Im going there myself I probably wouldnt offer (but then again chances are I might) to help out due to distance.

Hi Leigh,

Glad to be of assistance. I am unsure if you have already found this digital information at this National Archives:

www.naa.gov.au

Click on record search - then click on search now as a guest unless you already have a user name etc. Then enter Finkelde as a search. You will find an already opened file containing Carl Oswalds naturalisation paperwork for digital review which you can download for free and print. There are also a few others there that I think are related to your line.

If you have any information on Carls arrival, such as where departed, where arrived, approx year and a ship name we can hunt him down im sure! According to his naturalisation paperwork he is from Germany so that might be a lead to work with!

You might like to try this website:

Hi Alan,

Im assuming by your previous post you said your'e in touch with a relative Margaret Mesure? If she is your relative, so am I..her and I are tracing the same tree. Do you have Wharton Frederick Cutts in your tree? If so, he is the connection to both your line and mine and Margarets line.

Here is the Cutts information I have:

William Cutts m Susan Hutchings - their son
Wharton Frederick Cutts born Aug 26 1857 London. He married Adelaide Louisa Bridge Feb 2 1886 Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. Their children: William 1887, Winnifred 1890, Adelaide Florence1896, Ernest 1898 and Ethel 1905

I am still in the process of researching this line of Cutts - if this is the same line you are tracing Id love to compare notes with you!
