Berkshire Lookup Requests / James Miles 1861 census look up please
« on: Tuesday 02 October 07 18:50 BST (UK)  »
Hi All,

Would it be possible for one of you lovely people to look up James and Elizabeth Miles in Lockinge during the 1861 census. I have been given previously a reference. It's RG9/738 folio 91. Not sure if this is correct.
James was born in East Lockinge in 1825 and Elizabeth was born in Bourton in 1833.

TIA

Hi Seasider,

I'm also decended from the TEAGUE'S of the Forest of Dean.
Have a look at this website.

http://www.forest-of-dean.net/

You can join as a member (costs nothing)
Then you can search through all the transcribed registers for all the parishes.
The search engine on the site is excellant.

I have 7 Thomas Teague  in my tree one of them born 1832 he married Elizabeth Gwilliam though.

Happy hunting

Census Lookup and Resource Requests / Re: 1861 & 1871 Look up please. Joseph PEATON
« on: Wednesday 26 September 07 18:26 BST (UK)  »
Hi Newf,

Thankyou so much for giving them a go.
I just seem to have gone around in circles with my 2nd Gt Grandmother and her "Dad"?

Maybe one day I'll puzzle it out.

Hi,

Thankyou for your help.

On her marriage cert it says "PEATON" she signed.
On sons Birth Cert it says "PAYTON"
On another sons Birth Cert it say "PEYTON"

I do have an image of birth record of Julia Peaton in 1853 in Dorchester but I don't think this is my Julia.

Census Lookup and Resource Requests / 1861 & 1871 Look up please. Joseph PEATON
« on: Wednesday 26 September 07 15:48 BST (UK)  »
Hi All,

I've been trying to track down Joseph PEATON and his daughter Julia PEATON.

Julia states on later census' that she was born in Birmingham or Hockley in Warwick in 1853. I've not been able to find a birth for her either.

Julia married Samuel HARPLEY in March 1871, a month before the census. She married in Bradford and was with her husband in Tong, Bradford during the 1871 census.

Her Dad Joseph, on their marriage certificate, has an occupation as a "Mason"
He would have been born somewhere between 1824 - 1834.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Henry b 1796 agricultural labourer lived Newland/ Clearwell .
cardiff
Hi Cardiff

I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to answer.
I haven't so far come across Mary Teague married to  Henry Whitby.

I'm struggling to find siblings for my 3rd Gt Grandfather Thomas Teague born in 1785. I'd be amazed if he was an only child.
